This was inspired by being invited to a wedding that’s happening this year, wanted to share tips being married myself, of what to wear and because it is summer when many people getting married, wanted to share my tips on finding an outfit.
I was married in 2006 and so was the end of the summer and we didn’t have a dress code and so if they wanted to wear jeans then they could. It can be tricky to knowing, of what to wear. You can hire clothes depending on your budget, the type of wedding and how often are you going to wear it, once the wedding is over.
So it is what colour to wear and type of outfit. When my mum got married my dad she wore a suit and the same for when she married my step dad. When she married my dad I was yet to be conceived, but shopping with my mum for her second marriage I advised her to be careful when it comes to buying an outfit being the bride, from the high street, and perhaps go designer to lower the chance of someone else turns up in it and so remember when it comes to the bride they want to stand out, so you don’t out do the bride.
I hated what I wore for my mums wedding, to my step dad and it looked great in the picture but wearing it I looked hideous. I should have gone with my first choice, which was beige matching vest top which came with a cardigan and wore trousers.

I not able to find an outfit that is similar but checked M&S and found above a vest top and cardigan from Newlook. It is great outfit to wear all year round and still be an outfit that you can keep, once the wedding is over and re-wear for another wedding perhaps.
Check out what you already have and you may rediscover something and look in charity shops too. I have found some lovely clothes and you can get other bits, like Fascinators and hats.
Also it can be time of day. At my wedding my guests got changed from day clothes to evening clothes and would advise guests if is an all day celebration, to give them a clue of what to wear and where they can get changed.
Playsuits are good pieces as they are just one outfit.

This is one from M&S and checkout Shein too as they have many.
Then it is dresses. I have a dress from Amazon and check out Pinterest to find a style or a look you may like. I bought this one and wore it when going to the Rocky Horror Show.

I would say to go down a size but really light to wear with a little cardigan and can wear it in the winter with some tights and ankle boots. You can even wear high heal shoes with it and skin colour tights and a great purchase for my wardrobe.
I would avoid a white coloured dress unless that is the bride and grooms choice for guests to wear a specific colour. One of my friends talked about wearing black. It meant you disapproved of the wedding, but yet at a friends wedding one of her guests wore black and I didn’t have a problem with it, its their presence that was important to me and they enjoyed it as much me and my husband did.
So I hope this blog has helped and there will be more blogs coming soon and you can keep in touch with my blogs by subscribing.
Many thanks for reading,
