Tips for your wedding day.

It is Sunday, not a day I usually post on, but as I have a free Sunday afternoon to myself for a change I thought I would take advantage. I have already fitted in some exercise, a coffee and some retail therapy, now it is time to write.

I came across this article on 5 Tips to Get Ready Faster In the Morning (see link below):

I watched part of the Eurovision song contest lastnight and was I felt already predicted who would win. Let’s face it even if Bucks Fizz returned and took their clothes off we wouldn’t win now, but I still try and be hopeful.

I am looking forward to the Royal Wedding next week and also the FA Cup Final which is my favourite football competition and Chelsea are in the final so fingers cross we win.

I thought I would share some of my top tips for those who maybe also getting married next weekend.

Tip 1# Always give yourself time for perspective, it will help with the stress, and practice breathing.

Tip 2# Remember it is your day so don’t forget to put your foot down, so other people don’t try and dictate what you should do.

Tip 3# Get bits ready the night before, like put your dress hanging up ready with wedding veil, if you are wearing one, with shoes and underwear.

Tip 4# Have time to yourself, kind of related to the first tip, but it is important to have time just you and have that glass of wine the night before, it will help the nerves.

Tip 5# Get others to help you as much as possible, as it can be stressful planning a wedding by yourself, it is good to have people who can make the tea whilst you get your make up on, or does your make up for you, as long as they know what they are doing.

So if you are getting married this week to, then congratulations and enjoy the day as much a possible as trust me before you know it, it will be the honeymoon and you’ll start to forget the big day. So enjoy it as much as possible.

Sunny days

It has been a good Friday so far, my husband is off work so we used the time to visit Sutton, a town in London, to do a few errands. We had to get a costume for our son Henry as he needs it for a birthday party he is going to, and to buy some birthday presents and cards.

I did pop in the Primark but I tend to avoid it during the day because how busy it gets, so as soon I popped in I walked out again, but going to pop back another day, as I saw they were doing T-Shirts for £2.50.

I have been watching a lot of hack videos, check out my web page, Seasonal Clean ups where I have posted some cleaning hack videos I found on Youtube, and posted some mum hacks I discovered on Youtube on my website:

https://theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.wordpress.com

I tend to watch a lot of Youtube now rather than TV, but I am still watching the show called This Time Next Year with Davina McCall, as I do find those kind of programs inspiring.

It supposed to be a nice weather bank holiday this weekend, so I going to make the most of that.

What are you up to this weekend? I love to hear.

Anyway have a good bank holiday and will post again next week.

This time next year

Even though it was a rainy Friday today it didn’t stop me from going out; I had a lovely train and bus ride up to London, seeing some of London’s various attractions, whilst on my way to meet my friend for lunch.

I went up to Oxford Circus, it was busy but good to get out, rather than staying in wasting another day.

It is good news to hear that ABBA have got back together, I will be buying my first album in years when it comes out, and can’t wait to hear their new material.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Last Laugh In Las Vegas, I thought it was good to see old Cannon and Ball performing, they are my favourite double act of all time, along with Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello and of course Morecambe and Wise.

I also been watching This Time Next Year, which has inspired me to achieve my goals. It good to set goals I do it all the time and tick them off as I go.

Never allow the negative voice in your head tell you that it can’t happen because if you put your mind to it anything is possible.

So what do you fancy achieving this time next year? I would love to hear from you.

The Simple Life

End of another week, and it is unlucky for some Friday the 13th April 2018. I have decided that I really want a more simpler life, minimal, as I look around my home and it is still full of stuff I don’t really use and know it will do good being some where else.

I will update my seasonal clear up page on Carriesrealworld.com

As we go through some changes, it is time to change my home around and go for the minimal approach. I have a room next door full of craft staff, but am I really going to get around to using my craft stuff? Probably not, so might donate these to my mum for my nieces to play with.

As I clear up I have been enjoying the new song by George Ezra called Paradise. Check out below:

Yesterday we (my mum and I) took my son and my niece to Eddie Catz, in Wimbledon. It has a big softplay area, for smaller to bigger children, a cafe, disco room and basketball court.

I would recommend for mums these centres as they are great for all kids of all ages. Cost about £17 for all of us, but was a good morning out.

Now I am going to sort my washing out and chill until I have to pick up my son from nursery. It is a gloomy day but going to enjoy my bit of walking I do on a Friday enjoying the outdoors. I will blog again next week.
