Monday Look Book/The Rain Coat and Jackets

Yes it is raining cats and dogs today, so I thought I would pre-write new blogs for the week ahead. This is my Monday Look Book I like to do, and I work on over the weekend ready for Monday so thought I’d get on with it.

So, what type of Coats and Jackets could you wear for all year round?

I would often have a coat or a jacket bought for me as a Christmas Present or when it has been on sale.

These will start to coming on the racks by end of August and many retailers would have planned on new styles a year ahead, for them to be created on time.

I don’t tend to buy highend, and the stores I loved for coats and jackets, was Amazon, Debenhams or Dorothy Perkins.

This one is a nice coat and I did own a similar one some years ago and was very glam and kept me warm on Rainy days, but would wear something light underneath like in this photo and some white pumps or black trainers to give it a casual look.

These above are from Chic me. Yet did see some come up on New Look, Amazon and Next.

This is another jacket by Shein and I like it. Again I had a similar jacket some years back and was always drawing attention and some of my friends would ask where the jacket came from. It was when I was working in Camden, in London, and good as they a lightweight but with a fleece or a sweater underneath would be a good option for all year round.

I do like Double breasted coats and jackets. This is from EMP.co.uk and love this style. Great to wear with ballette pumps, witht he white pumps above and will never go out of fashion and they wash well.

I bought a doubled breasted coat from Amazon, and when I took it to the dry cleaners the buttons on it melted, and they didn’t say anything when I picked it up, and realised when I got home, that the buttons had gone.

I now always check to see if they are Washable in the Washing Machine.

So do shop around and set a budget of how much you are willing to spend and enjoy browsing and trying different styles to workout what is your style and will last for many seasons and years.

Thursday Fashion Look Book/Over The Shoulder Bags

Hello and welcome! This is my Fashion look book and today it s Shoulder bags and Rain Coats.

So each year, like to invest in Shoulder bags as I love them and great to keep stuff secure and not carry too much.

So this one is fro Amazon and type of one I like to purchase as it has different pockets to put personal items in like purse, keys and mobile, and if you take some lip gloss or balm, anti-bacterial hand sanitizer and a mini notepad.

This one is an everyday one and great for those quick trips to the shops and back and if worried about pick pockets, have the zip pockets face towards your body, or facing forward with the zips going along right to left when sealed.

This one is from Freemans and I do like bags that have colour and these ones are good because the zip is top of the bag with a extra strap over to keep it secure and again enough to hold all personal belongings.

The material of this bag when looking at it can wear over time, but if not taken out when raining it will last forever and never go out of style.

This is the type of one i am using at the moment and was from Amazon and I love it. It keeps a lot in it and had an adjustable strap which I always check on. I do have ones that were given to me as gifts and bought an extra bag like the one above as these will last for ages and for all year round.

I often will look in Charty shops on bags like the above and have purchased them because they are great to not having to carry so much out with you.

I am not often someone who buys a bag to match my clothes, but on what I need to take with me and how sturdy it it to hold the items I like to take out with me.

I do set a budget and don’t like to pay more than £24, but I would like to treat myself to a designer should bag as depending on brand can be worth the money depending the size and how compact it is.

Here is one by Ted Baker. I like to have bags that last and have a collection, and would like a wardrobe day full of bags that I love.

How one can dream, but for now I like the ones I have and longevity is important, along with price and style.

Monday Look Book/Pieces I Enjoy Wearing

This is a new blog post I put together at the weekend. Your feedback is welcomed and thank you for liking my blog posts so far. This is a Weekend Look Book and I am talking about Piece I enjoy wearing for all year round.

So the first piece is open shoulder and short sleeved tops with patterns, buttons or stripes.

I do have plain pieces but mainly in vest tops and in colours that can be layered with patterned tops and in greys, navy blue, light pink and black ‘n’ white.

The one you see above is from New Look for £13.49 at the moment and in different sizes and this instantly grabbed my attention.

I have also a pair of cropped jeans bought from H&M for £19.99 and Denim is a collection I would like to make as I always have denim in my stash of clothes.

Again these are from New Look and a store I visit regularly and great for little pieces that can be worn in the seasons and compliment all women wardrobes. These are priced at £22.99.

Animal print is a favourite piece and have had shoes, bags, dresses and tops that have animal print and always look for them.

Here is a dress from Shein and really good price at £8.49 and so great value and will last and can be worn all year with bare legs, Skin colour tights and woolley tights.

Then there is a baseball cap and wear all year and good to have a good stash and make sure they say “Machine Washable” and yes a staple piece for me.

This one is a great style and gonna add to my wishlists and to buy in the future. It is from Amazon priced at £9.99. I do like different styles and great for keeping hair clean and when you just want to put your hair into a pony tail it is convenient and still stylish.

Thursday Look Book/Collector Items

Hello and welcome! Today is it Thursday and time for another Look Book and this fashion is all about Collector Items. Items such as concert T-Shirts, Sport shirts and Fleeces and jumpers.

When it comes to fashion I like to invest in a concert t-shirt, especially going to one and save up so I can purchase memerabilia and be something you can wear forever.

With the T-shirt above I would wear a pair of Denim jeans, skirt or a pair of Denim Shorts.

When it comes to washing them though make sure it doesn’t run or print fades during wash, and to prent this wash the T-Shirt inside out and be careful when Ironing as from passed the print has gone onto the ironing, and check labels for washing tips, on such items.

When it comes to jeans I tend to go for Bootcut but flared can also work when wearing a concert t-shirt and going to one. Always check the weather and if not a T-Shirt why not a hooded fleece instead.

The other thing is shoes. For me it is a trainer, a pair of Boots or Flip flops. I avoid thin heals, because of getting them caught in grass and mud.

Then it is accessories like earrings and bracelets and glow sticks.

So if you are going to a concert this year then why not save and check out fashion from Music Festivals as they can be framed aswell and be good room decor to, in the colder months or in the Summer when the hoody is to hot to wear, but still getting some use out of them.

Monday Fashion look book/Dresses from Shein

Hello and welcome! Thank you for the follow I received today and glad you are liking my blog, it really means the world to me and today it is my Monday Fashion look book.

So today I wore a dress as a change as I know it rained but it still humid and so made sure I dehaired my legs being a woman and want to share some dresses I like to wear, starting with the black dress which was the colour of mine today.

This one above is from Shein and would be great for evening weddings, an alternative bridesmaid dress and they used to say not to wear black but I have been to weddings and people do. You could add to it a gold belt to make it look different as the fear is one of the other guests wearing it, but can be worth the investment as great for the Festive season too.

I don’t wear off the shoulder a lot but now I have a few of these types of items I now do and I love dresses that can be for the beach aswell as wedding and parties.

This dress caught my eye as they can be lovely to wear in the summer and then with a blazer give it a different look with some think tights and pair of cow boy boots. In looking at it and your are having a smallish wedding at a budget could be worn by a bride with a hat to go with it.

I love colour and this one is one that I’d wear and because of the length and the pattern. Very me and all three I have chosen are from Shein and could wear the hat for the above white dress with this dress too, and worn everyday. If you work in an office and you want a dress is light and be stylish this would be it and again with black tights and a pair of cow boy boots, or ankle boots.

I do like the bag they have teamed it with and light brown boot would be something you could wear with skin coloured tights too.

The three pieces you have seen are a great capsule wardrobe items.

So in the summer I tend to wear dresses, leggins or shorts, and own at the moment two skirts. The one skirt I want to wear again is a denim skirt. It is an item I miss and always invest in.

The Denim skirt can be worn in all weathers as winter I wear with a pair of think black rights, skin colour tights or woolley tights.

I have a mauroon leather skirt, which I bought from New Look two years ago and was at the time looking for an outfit to wear to my sons 6th birthday party.

I used to be a girl who wore Denim with Denim but now I either like to wear Jeans, Jeggings, crop denim, dresses and a skirt.

When it comes to Leather again I would not wear a leather jacket perhap when going to a music festival but not in the day as such all of the time, I like a good T-Shirt with a leather skirt.

I do wear a Tartan Skirt and have always like these type of clothes since a kid and mainly wear in the colder months but they can be worn in the summer. With a smart jacket or blazer these suit and in many different type of Tartan Material.

I love this style and I like the Maxi skirt and off the shoulder top. They can be mixed ‘n’ matched with a white plain skirt, white trousers or even a pencil skirt.

The skirt with a plain white off the should top and a orange colour top and worn in the winter with a pair of tights and brown boots with a womens blouse tucked in.

This one caught my eye and is from Marks & Spencers. I at one time loved M&S because they would do good bootleg trousers and have always been good when it comes to different styles of clothes.

I like Elasticated skirts, shorts, leggins and trousers as they do make clothes that don’t need to be taken up.

Monday Look Book/Heat Wave Fashion

Hello, Happy Monday! Do I enjoy Monday’s?

When it comes to fashion but if I can stay in and not get up so early I will.

I not lazy I just like to sit down most of the day.

Only joking I do like to walk and walk along with retail therapy.

So in a heat wave finding something cool and easy to wear I love vest tops and the good places to go to find a set is by checking in stores like Primark, Uniglo, New Look and H&M, and they will sell individual or as a set but do your maths. In H&M for example they will sell a set of two but then shopping around buying indivdually can workout to be cheaper.

This is high end in terms of H&M, which this one is from priced at £9.99 but they do ones for about £5, but they are good quality and can last you many summers, so if you want to go high end, as their tops are good then it can be worth investing.

Here is one on New Look and I love patterned clothes like vest tops and wash well. I like them for their verstility as you can wear them all year round and layering for the colder period outdoors and so worth investing.

Shein has also become my favourite stores and I love these ribbed lace vest tops like this one in the picture. They great to dress up for a night out sitting in a pub garden.

This is priced at £5.99 and it is flattering to show a bit of cleavage especially if you are with a male or female that you are going out with and great item for a Date Night.

There is this top that caught my heart immediately and is £8 and so nice. TU Sainsbury’s has been excellent when it comes to fahion and bought a few things from there that I have enough but there is always something that catches my eyes.

Here is another one from TU and is £20 so highend from TU but good style and is the right fabric for your style that will lasts for a long time then it is worth it and one tip# washing inside out and with dark colours at first, and if no colour runs then again good purchase.

Lets talk about shorts. I don’t tend buy loads but have some good pairs for the summer that can be worn for many summers to come, and many goals do wear tighs in the winter with them and Denim is the best for doing this but also skirt like look too.

These are from H&M and are £10 but worth it if they last and wash well.

Again wash with other darks before mixing them up in other coloured clothing when washing.

These are £4.80 from Boohoo.com another good online retailer and have ordered from in the passed and well made. Navy is a colour I have always worn being fair skinned and brunet and dark eyes.

So invest in good easy clothing and be stylish at the same time

Thursday Look Book/Fashion for the sun and Rain

Hello and welcome! So the weather has been mixed, downpours and then yesterday super hot and so it can be “What can I wear?”.

So I have gone through different retailers to find my versitile choices for this blog post and the one shop I am loving aswell H&M and Shien is TU Sainsbury’s and I do have few tops from this brand and so thought about what you can get from big Sainsbury’s supermarket stores and here is a collage of their fashion.

First top I see as I go into this site and is this Butterfly Tee

So this is a top I saw straight away as I went onto their website and this is a great piece to wear that you can cover over with a cardigan and a hood and with leggins or a pair of jeans.

Thinking of Cardigans, I found this one, it hasn’t a hood by don’t forget they do sell brollies in case you need one

This cardigan instant caught my attention as it very much my style, and one that be pefect with the Tee above, and can be worn all year and for rainy days and remember they also at Sainbury’s sell Brollies aswell.

Here is a hooded cardigan from TU and perfect, the only thing I would check is easy washable will it eventually bubble up and be ruin

This cardigan with hood is an example of the ones available from Sainsbury TU range, it is perfect for days when it is rainy and dreary and can be worn through out the year and is in one of favourite type of colours, like a washed out light grey which is a instant match the only thing I’d check is if it is washable, so it longevity as I would wear this type of cardigan a lot, and will it bubble up the wool after time.

So the one thing they are doing is combining vest tops with cardigans for £32 and it a real bargain as with this you can mix and match, which is my kind of fashion and perfect to cover over if it turns out to be chilly day in the UK or wherever you live, and looking at the fabric could be a long life combi and be like a masterpiece in your wardrobe (see below).

The Vest top. These are great for layering and getting the most out of your clothes and just for £3 is a true bargain and I invest a lot in these types of tops as they can last all year again when its rainy but humid and can be worn under blazers, cardigans again or shirts or blouses, and be a great long lasting piece.

A true item for all year round and for days that are rainy but still humid and great for layering. Only £3.

So this dress is like one I have in black and I love it. When it is warm and I have shaved my legs I love to wear. Washes well and just a great stape item. I am not keen on the colour due to having a 7 year old putting their little dirty fingers on it, thats life with kids but an item that can be layered with a cardigan again or a blazer and be a real stylish piece.

PETITE Stone Linen-Rich Shift Dress

Good price for dress in Sainbury’sale items for £10 always good item to wear and can be worn all year and in different weathers but I would have a coloured top underneath or white on in case it is see -through as white clothes can have that problem.

So footwear I have found these which would go perfect with dress above but most of the sizes have sold out as these are in the sale for £7 so get in now. Very popular it seems in terms shoes and so check these out.

Monday Look Book Summer H&M

So this weeks look book on Summer clothes from H&M. So what I will be showing?

Staple items that can be worn all year round. For me I wear leggins about 98% of the time as it is comfort for me and usually wear them with a coloured or patterned top.

Where do I buy my leggins from?

Amazon, New Look or Uniglo

Tops? Various but been into this year Amazon, H&M, Wish, Shein, TK Maxx abd TU Sainsbury’s.

So the first outfit I have chosen for this look and I love these clothes for the summer as you can wear this in the other months with tights or mix and match the top with a pencil skirt and shorts for just popping out in the garden, when it is not too cold.

I love stylish but practical too and these are great of sitting on the balcony if you have one with a nice Iced Latte on the go.

Linen T-shirt

They were in the H&M in Wimbledon doing sleeveless tops for £5 and very stylish too.

So I do go for colour and comfort and I love this colour above and I have a top similar to the above in my stash and gonna wear today and looking forward to it. These tops can be worn all year round with black trousers, jeans or with a skirt. Very Versitile and will last me for years.

Now I am a T-Shirt girl and H&M do some gret Tee’s and here is one as an example:

This spells out music festival where you like a Tom Boy but Feminine at the same time.

I love this look and remember as a kid a girl I knew dressed like this all of the time and I remember thinking “Wow can I pull this look” and when at Secondary school subconsciously did and I still do but with a pair of leggins with a set of laced up boots.

Then you have the long skirt. I invest in one of these from time to time as I feel they canb last a lifetime, and I have one in my stash which I bought when on holiday and hopefully be united with it soon, as I do need to pick up some items from my own place and worth investing as these can be worn with the boots in the picture above. This skirt with a pair of woolley tights I love to wear.

So check H&M out and I will be doing more hight street fashion and will writing about Collection items you can get that last a lifetime.

Thursday Fashion Look Book/Summer to Autumn Fashion

Here are some items you can use for the summer that you also wear in the Autumn.

It all depends on the price for me and if I can get a top I like at a lower price then I do. I love a bargain and not being big headed I always seem to find items. It does mean search through rack after rack but I often do find sale items that are often hidden. This is one reason I love TK Maxx, and want to do a shop with me at some point, perhaps next week or so.

So I found this dress on Shein, my favourite online store at the moment, and this one caught my eye instantly. It is an unusual colour for me but is great to wear for the summer and with some tights in the Autumn aswell through to Winter.

This one is price at the moment is £12.99 so a true Bargain.

could you get away with this outfit? Yes but it depends on the dress code, but could be a good tailored outfit and you could mix it with a white blouse rather than a vest top, and the skirt perfect for wearing sandals and a pair of boots in the Autumn when it gets colder. This skirt checking isn’t available but it an example of a type of summer skirt that you could actually make yourself if making your own clothes in your thing. Then you can build your own fashion store.

Being petite we often think we can not pull of a long skirts, but yes you can and they are a great longlasting item to a capsule summer/autumn wardrobe.

The long dress the maxi dress. This in on the site Vencano and caught my eye as once again I looked at it and yes I could see myself wearing this dress above. It does depend on the length but can still be great item for short woman like me and for you too. This dress is priced at £19.14.

Then in the winter some ballet pumps, a pair of boots or pumps to dress it down a bit.

You can even add some jewellry and with a nice cardigan to wear in the Autumn.

It’s how you make it and make a vision board of different styles like I have done so for Summer and Autumn fashion.
