The last two days has been very cold and rainy that it is Summer gone for this year as had to wrap up today to stay warm, and wore a t-shirt under my jean dress with woolley tights, my black winter jacket (hooded) from Amazon with trainers and baseball cap.
I am gonna find my beanie hat and invest in a new one for when it starts to get even colder.
I have a hat from last year that I can still wear but I like the Beanie and bought one last year from Sports Direct for when I would do running and kept my head lovely and warm.
I do have a bobble hat two in a light pink colour and so gonna hunt for that and started to wear a scarf. The one I am currently is white with black polka dots.
This one is on Not on the highstreet site and I bought mine years ago and had for about 10 years and not well worn, but is one of my favourites.
The other items I have started to wear are my black boots from Shein and I love mine and gonna probably wear these tomorrow and fit so snugly on my legs or it is socks and trainers.
So what will you be wearing this Autumn and Winter. You can leave a comment below.

This Monday Look Book is about Womens Classic Fashion, and gonna talk about my favourite classic items, and as I type this blog have a navy blue and white striped top from TU Sainsbury’s one of my favourites, and I love this top and a classic item that will last me all year round.
If you been following me then you know why this blog is called versitie fashion. With Stripes I find that they do give me shape and can be smarted up, by black trousers and pieced with some Jewellery and can be worn with jeans too, which is what I am wearing now as I write this blog.
I have always had tops and other items like dresses in stripes and colour of Navy blue and white and is just a crisp combination.
Then there is Polka dots. I have a dress by shein that I have not worn yet and I love a polka dot. They are just a great way to create character in your wardrobe, and again worn clothing with dots since a kid, and will continue to do so.
This top is from Debenhams which was a go to store on a Sunday and would wear a black skirt, trousers or with jeans and would be a classy too.
I like the simplicity of a polka dot and can be dressed up with some nice court shoes or open toed, but can be worn every season and great for a Friday work drinks, that I would often do when I worked in london, and be good for a festive party and tailored too.
I have my Denim for this year sorted, I am just looking for a Denim skirt to add to my current wardrobe and that would be it for this year in terms of Denim. It is a weekly go to and again since a kid.
This is from Shien and where I purchased mine and fits well, but may be a little big for me as I have lost weight but still looking forward to it when the autumn and winter weather sets in and the joy is I can layer underneath too.
Next is the classic winter dress and again I have gotten my wardrobe sorted for the colder weather and have jumper dresses and they last for a long time and more colder climates to come.
I have bought one of mine from Shein and Amazon this year and so it is good to plan ahead when it comes to clothes and here is one I purchased last year for this year.
So what classics do you wear I’d love to hear from you. You can comment below.

Sorry I didn’t put up a look book post yesterday. I completley got caught up in other projects, but thought I’d do a Friday Look Book instead.
In this post I am talking about long lasting Winter looks.
The first off is for casual I have seen these tops for men and women for the winter and seen that Trepass have a sale on fleeces and gonna take a further look as they had a really good sale on, so gonna at the end of the month look into the store and bring home a fleece I already have, as I live in them.
What I like about these fleeces is they when washed and maintained can last for a lot of winters and colder weather, with a polar neck underneath to be extra snug.
This would be great for when I do my walks I like to do when it is colder.
Marks and Spencers have good knit wear and seen a cardigan I’d like to purchase and again I shop I visit say twice a year, but they do different style of trousers, tops and knitwear and they wash well too.
In H&M, when I do another shop with me for my channel Typicallondongal have elasticated trousers which look and can be warn all year round and last a long time.
Now I have my ankle boots for this year, but after a set of white pumps as these would be great for crispy cold days but don’t fancy a boot and then dressed up with ballet style shoes.
Check out shein white pumps as I call them.
I like a good capsule wardrobe for the winter and I go through what I have and would help me build up a wardrobe of colours and I like wearing reds, oranges, black trousers or shoes, or leggins but they will help me save on new winter clothes as long as they have longevity.
So go through your clothes and go through what items would give a spark of have plenty to wear and for dressing up, being smart and will work for everyday.
Its all about building and I like to go for items that will match my current style and love the clothes I have.
Its all about mix ‘n’ matching and not buying clothes for the sake of it.

An office wardrobe is something I have had to have in many jobs I undertook. Many businesses will have a dress code and so how did I get around that? By buying clothes from Debenhams on a Sunday and they would have items from that week stock and have a sale rack and I would buy some really good fitted no struggling items.
If you have to get up early like I am this week I need items to grab and at the minute its not much of a big deal, but still be concious of looking like I just got out of bed.
Wallis was a great department as the sale would be in Debenhams on that part of the store, and found some lovely dresses and lasted me for ages and very too.
Here is an example of above. Now this is great if you like I do changed my shoes when I got to work if the dress code was “No trainers or pumps” but you don’t want to spoil your shoes so carried them until I got to the company I worked for.
Also bags. A must and I carry at this minute being a writer, carry notebooks and pens with me along with spare scarves, travel make up and separate #overtheshoulderbag to carry my bank cards, phones, little notebooks, pens and hand santizer and I have bought some from Amazon as a set or charity shops.
Here is an example:
Here is a set on Wish which is a brilliant APP and have used to buy fashion items, and I love a tote, but I love using rucksacks with 3 to 4 little compartments.
Then there are shoes and seen some lovely pairs in Office that I am gonna take a trip in there to find some loafers. I love this style and have a pair with a hill but slip off as I am a half size which now is hard to find.
These are from Shein at £6.75 of course this price can change but great to wear all year and be warn with jeans on dress down days at work aswell as normal office atire.
So, look for items that are worth the money, as I did have loafers from Primark and didn’t last at all so it is often worth it to invest in a more expensive wear.

So this week I have put together some outfits from my own wardrobe, that I have loved wearing this year so far, and I will do a haul soon of some new items in my wardrobe and so I hope you get some inspiration on how to build wardrobe for the entire year, and not having too much.
So the first outfit is this and the I love these skinny cut off jeans as they fit me like Leggins and have them on today as I put together this look book blog post. The Cut off jeans are from H&M and the Voguage T-Shirt is from TK Maxx and I love it, along with the trainers from Amazon and I love their fashion, as now have the jeans with a sweater I bought from their.
This outfit is so comfortable and great for every day. in the winter gonna be great with a pair of ankle boots.
This next outfit is one I enjoyed wearing and in the winter gonna wear tights which I would ever do, but as the shirts look like a skirt, it will still be a great outfit and I can wear indoors and be snug but styling and making the most of my wardrobe.
The shorts are from H&M and the vest top is from Uniglo, and the same trainers as the first look.
I love a good set of trainers that are everyday and they are just that.
The Leggins you see in the picture are from Amazon and are great love them the snitching on these not so good as I did have to fix a hole but as good as new.
I like good priced well fitted leggins and am on the hunt for more different styles and colours of leggins.
So you can see how much I love these leggins that I teamed it up with the same footwear but this time with a white patterned top. I don’t really do plain tops as you’ve seen if you follow me, it is I like adding character to my wardrobe. The top you see is from TU Sainsbury’s and with these looks worn and love this navy blue blazer with a baseball camp.
The Baseball cap is one I have had for ages and wore when I would go running but now I wear it most days, and is from Sports Direct and I am after a baige one. The blazer from Shein. Good priced fashion and my style of fashion.

So today when on the bus to be in my sons home in Epsom for when he is dropped back from school and saw a lady wearing Dungerees, and was like “Wow they must be back in fashion, and I want a pair again”. I loved Dungerees and was my go to as a kid, and even had different colours, denim in a light blue and a navy blue denim colour.
Going back to my childhood fashion, I had key pieces and always like wearing puff ball skirts and strips and I think it has followed me.
So gonna get myself a pair like in image above but not cut offs but full legged.
I am also loving off the shoulder tops, and have many styles in my collection, heres one on Amazon that I have.
I have this one in red and I love it. Gonna be great to layer up in the winter, but lovely and cozy to wear. As a kid I loved having different tops in my collection, and this has never changed.
The other classic from a kid is Ankle boots. I love them and always have a pair in my collection and mainly black, but do have brown pair too.
They style up outfits and tops, and I can’t go a year without having a pair or two.
Don’t be so into the price as often the lowest priced ones have still maintained their everlasting presence in my wardrobe, and the pair I have in black were bought for my sister-inlaw but she already had a pair, so they are now mine. Waste not want not.
So, I am going to take some pictures of my collection I have of clothes and gonna style up for Thursday Look book. Thank you to a new follower of this blog, it really means the world to me.

So I, in my last two blogs on this site was talking all about getting ready for the school run and for autumn, yet we have had three now as I type up this blog, have had three heatwave.
I already have items out for the colder weather, and I do plan my wardrobe and what clothes I want to get rid of and keep, and to add to my versitile wardrobe. I am wearing shorts from Primark as I write this blog post, and glad I kept them out as something to grab, once back and done for the day, which has included, taking my son to school, coming back to do a bit of planning, and listened to some music whilst having quickish rest in bed, then had two appointments, I had to get to, so been an adventrous day.
This sums up English weather as when in August it mainly rained with a few hot days and in September it has been warmer so far, than August this year (2021), and so sums up English weather and its good to have a few different types of clothing just in case.
This can be the best time to shop as visiting H&M they have turned their clothes around, yet often stores will have summer clothes on sale, get rid of this years clothes for this summer to change to the Autuminal and winter weather.
Soon it is, we have to bare ourselves, but be new festive clothes. You can use summer clothing for the winter, like sleeveless dresses and tops, and wearing with a blazer or cardigan.
I would wear a white blouse underneath a dress meant for the summer, and making it look tailored and as office work clothes, for the change of colder seasons.
Get what you can out of your wardrobe is my moto. Retailers, will change their footwear, so look of summer shoes on sale, as often this is when to buy them, and wear still but putting the rubbish out or just indoors.
Check out clearance stock in store and online.
So, go through your clothing and lay them down to make into an outfit, and I am a women of colour. I do have some plain clothes, but I do love to make my wardrobe interesting and fun also.

Hello and I hope you had a good weekend. This Mondays Fashion look today is going to be about ladies who live on a low budget and can get the same outfits, but less of a price.
I was inspired by a shop called Oliver Bonas, and they had a jumper with FREE on the front, and I love these jumpers, yet was £45, and having bought a dress from this shop before when they first became a chain of stores, the fabric began to wear, and for £50 paid for it, it didn’t last very well.
So I looked in other shops, like TKMaxx and TU Sainsbury’s and found others similar and less cost, and one had mickey mouse and one Snoopy and love them. That is a good way to shop, if you have a lower budget to buy the item you see. Have a look around as you’d be surprised, how you can match the style.
So, I visit charity shops a lot to find any hidden treasures to add to my wardrobe, and like to plan it out through the year, and I have written a blog post on one of my other sites organize4thebetter.blogspot, talking about it.
I was also inspired by a lady I watch on Youtube, and then channel is called The WADS, and I like having a colourful wardrobe with patterns and easy wearing clothes.
I do wear glasses when on the computer and so added it in, as it is good to have a variety of different styles and getting the most out of closet and only by a few items a time. Often at Christmas I will go extra and new year, but then stop and wait for the other seasons to wear on what I have got aswell as buy items not yet included that I really want.
So finding staples that can be mixed with your other clothes on a low budget is possible, it is all about shopping around.

Hello and welcome! So to follow the theme of getting ready for school to return and so as a mum I don’t want high maintence clothing, but something that I can just slip into and mix and match items, so I always have something to wear.
You want pracitical and stylish too, and so here is a vision board put together, to see how you can take kids to school, and look good without little effort.
These are the vision board for this new Thursday Look book, and I have chosen these images as it is the style I like to wear, The one top left I wouldn’t wear the knee high boots as I find I can never walk in them, but do like a good like a pair of boots as we reach autumn, and mainly flat, but I do have an ankle set of boots this year, that I will wear and will show you them, when I next do a fashion video.
I love over sized jumpers and a good pair of jeans. I do love leggins, but without a good pair of jeans, my wardrobe never feels right.
I do like a over the shoulder bag or bum bag when taking my son to school or a satchel bag and live by them. T-Shirt always a winner and you can still wear off the should tops or sleeveless, witha cardigan or as a underneath layer.
It is worth spending money on coats and jackets. For me long lasting is the key to a good Autumn and Winter wardrobe and can be machine washed and not for too higher budge. I would pay over £60 on a good winter cloak, but as we get nearer to winter the sales on coats and jackets will begin and worth the investment.
So, more blogs to come and look books, and many thanks for visiting blogs and for the likes received.
Many thanks for reading,
Carrie X

So as a parent I have items that I can just grab in an instant and like clothes that don’t need a lot of effort putting on and as the new school year is on the horizone, feel that I need to have a good capsule wardrobe, for comfort everyday school run clothes.
If I have to think about it too much, I know it is no and get everything, fashion wise done, and seeing I didn’t wear all my shorts gonna change into these in the evening and have them as lounge wear, for the time being.
Gray is one of my colours I always go for, as it goes with such a lot of other clothes, and in as Summer is over, great to put on to take kids back to school. Of course if we do get a late summer weather in September, it may be too warm to wear yet, but can last for all year, and for a cardigan, top, skirt, trousers and jumper, or even a coat, will last a long time.
Of course check washing instructions and is not suitable for washing machine, I tend to not buy it. I like clothes that are easy to grab and wash, without too much of a fuss.
I am wearing Gray as I write this blog post.
The next item I like to have as we move to the autumn is adding more layers and get cosy, when it is bitterly cold outside, or chilly. Yet easy to put on without searching too much, and have them whatever style out ready to wear and again not having too many zips or buttons to put on, in a dash.
Moving away from gray, or some may call it silver, it depends on the fabric and I go for 100% Cotton, with some wool too, but avoid too much wool, as they can shrink when washed, go out of shape or itchiness and I have had rashes sometimes, so if you buy woollen items, wash before wearing to stop this. I find they can leave the dye can go onto the body and then cause itchiness.
Navy blue. One of my colours I like to wear, but this style would not necessarily suit me, and be too long, from experience, but if right for these colour and style, then these can be great with a cardigan and goes with gray, for transforming the dress for the winter, by adding a pair of tights, ankle boots and as see in the picture a matching hand bag to match the boots.
Jumper dresses, are great and I have a few of these in my collection of clothes and can’t wait to wear these. Of course summer, not good if there is a heatwave, but if washed okay, then a piece to wear all Autumn and winter, and are long lasting so versitility is there and for many colder seasons to come.
Brilliant for the school run as they are one piece and then just add tights, with boots, or leggins and wear as a tank top, along with a nice belt.
I will do more blogs like this, if you like it and tell me of your items you like to have as we change seasons. You can leave a comment below.
