Hello and welcome to a new blog! This blog is sharing The Christmas outfit for mums always on the go and running around getting those Christmas goodies and want to look stylish and ready for the day of cheers and laughter.
So I picture glitz and trousers or that one piece like a dress with some sandaled shoes and for that party dress. I have my Christmas dress for this year, bought from Wish and they do have some good choices, so worth checking. I bought the dress last year but never got to wear it so my choice, and hopefully will last years.
So I did this from my previous look books I did this year and so the tops I picked are getting away from too much black as I love colours and adding a different colour to your wardrobe can be a keepsake piece and be worn for all year around and go well with the knee high boots I chose, and the dress is one I included the summer of this year.
If you wanted to find such tops and dresses the top stores I’d choose is Very, Shein, TU Sainsbury’s, Wish and H&M.
There are more stores I’d like to check out, and when I do I will let you know.
I found a few tops on River Islands fashion. Not a retailer I have ever bought clothes from but would like to revisit these stores for my wardrobe for 2022.
So have wonderful week, and not rushing too much and see you on thursday which will be more looks and clothes you can wear all year round.

Hello yes we are now in December. No really? Yes! So this blog is about Christmas gift ideas, and I have bought clothes for other people and kids when choosing gifts but often you may not see it again.
You know when people are just being polite by over emphasising their thank you, “Oh great I wanted one of the those?” and then that’s it and never see it being worn, so first
tip#1 Get to grips with the persons style and colours they love to wear.
I am not saying don’t take a risk, as often its because they never taken a chance to see if a certain colour in terms of clothing will suit them or not, but still keeping it to their style and you know you are gonna see them wear it.
Often they will wear it once to just to show they are thankful and then never seen again for another year and see it as clutter.
tip#2 A scarf is always a winner andI love buying a new scarf every year and like themto last me a lifetime and that is to put them away in closed draws instead of being in a wardrobe.
Yes I like items that give me my monies worth and not have holes in them, and like to keep them until they have become worn and even then I may not.
tip#3 The cardigan. My love of life when in my wardrobe and always happy to have a one and is a must for me each year and there are so many styles, but a knitted one that is not itchy some can be, a good investment.
I was so lucky as a kid having to grandparents who like to knit because as kids ours were homemade and I loved them.
If you like knitting why not do the same and gifts made by hand can be so much more personal.
tip#4 Have a sort in our wardrobe of anything you don’t wear and then hand it down to someone who might and make it into a gift.
I love watching people alter clothes and you can do the same. I remember ultering as a kid a pair of jeans I had into denim shorts and changing buttons on a coat or blouse for example just make it brand new, get a box and tissue paper and it is a perfect gift.
The other idea is to do the same with bags and scarfs.
So there will be more to come and I am so glad to be able to say Merry Christmas.

Hello yes it is Monday already and I am getting into the festive mood.
Today’s blog is all about my go to stores for Christmas and at an affordable budget.
So this year I discovered some new online clothing sites, been amazed by TU Sainsbury’s and H&M.
Shein I discovered last year and very was my go to store once upon a time, but stopped having an account with them due to being in debt, and this is a habit I wanted to stop and it has.
I do restyle my wardrobe from time to time, but I like the clothes I have now, and this week I bought a couple of polar necks from Amazon, and H&M also did them, but I found that they were better priced on Amazon, and if I can’t find an item on the high street I will then check Shein or Amazon to see if they have different or aquvalent item that works out to be better.
My wardrobe for this year and for years to come is done and that is what I look for longetivity as you have seen in my look books.

Christmas is one day but if you have parties as we lead up to the 25th day in December, Christmas can begin from the beginning of December, and watching Youtube there seems to be a lot already about the festive season, so I am going to talk about planning a wardrobe for the festive season and items that can be worn all year round.
Light in a the box is a site I discovered this year and they do have some lovely clothes and items that can last a long time, check out this top below that can be worn for December to December, during the day and evening.
I love the colour and the pattern and can be worn in the summer with a pair of white trousers and some silver flip flops and a silver bracelet, a ring and a necklace.
The dress and this would be perfect for Winter and Christmas and see this being worn on Christmas day and also in the spring with heal sandels and a gold necklace and a ring too.
It can look really stylish and can be worn in the summer when the evening is a little chilly and look super stylish. You could wear the top with trousers, jeans or leggins, and black sandals to match or black boots for the winter.
Tops like this with a red jacket or white jacket and as in the photo white trousers, but can be worn during the festive season and could wear with a red pair of trousers or leggins.
For the evening and all year wear some big gold statement earrings, a gold scarf or red scarf and flip flips and in winter baige or white boots.
It is about longevity and investing in having a capsule wardrobe so you always have something to wear.
More blogs to come.

Hello, this is my Monday Fashion Look Book giving some Shopping Ideas.
So the first thing is to set a budget of what you want to spend, and if they gifts for yourself aswell as others.
Christmas fashion is all about the glitz and you can do this on a budget, and here are some items that can be for the festive time that can be worn all year too.
The jumper and I have a few in my wardrobe and is every year colour when plain, but I like sparkles on it too, and have one from TU sainsbury’s and you can still dress up a plain jumper with a broach and a matching scarf that is tarten.
There are so many different tartans and can really compliment an outfit and can be worn whenever it is cold and you need that extra warm, and be cozy.
Many may not like tartan though and I respect those that don’t, so why not go with a lovely sparkling scarf in colours silver or in white.
These pictures have been linked to the sites I found to talk about Christmas fashion that can be worn all year round.
Then there is the coat, a lovely matching coat that picture one shows above, but with the scarf and jump can really even out the colour red, and becomes even more stylish.
Stores like M&S always do really nice red fashion, like this jacket above and I love treating myself from M&S, or just having a look in the store I find so inspiring when putting my wardrobe together.
When it comes to red is tht with a white shirt can be tailored and casual, with some knee or ankle boots, and when cold in the Spring for then to with ballet style shoes.
When it comes to ballet style shoes I will go to New Look as I love their footwear and have bought many shoes from them, and not one that close by, but when I can go to their stores I always purchase a pair of ballet or brogue shoes too.
Their shoes always last for many years and have a brown pair of ankle boots and I love them. So do check them out but picture is linked, if you wanted to check their online store.
So buy items that you know can be worn with many different items in your wardrobe and last. There will be sales on these items and so get in quickly as often I made that mistake and missed out.
So, more look books to come.

Dressing up for the colder weather, means layering and getting out those thermal clothes that last for a life time. This is with knitwear, good insulated jackets and coats and putting on onesie when at home, or some comfortable insulated slacks that can feel cozy outdoors and indoors.
I for the first time today wore my beanie hat, which pink as I used to wear it for when I did running, but still good to wear everyday and its an item I like to have, and gonna buy another one for when I need to wash the hat for the winter I already have.
Oh and a hack, use the hat a storage for when not needed and put inside a pair of gloves and a light scarf. Also to be nice a toasty when the hat is on, to place it on a radiator clothes rack, and won’t lose any body heat, as heat can go out of the head and the feet, but this will stop this from happening.
The jumper is great for the upper body and would wear this when it is super cold with polo neck jumper underneath, with a pair of jeans and of course with me, it is leggins or black smart trousers.
It has to cover my enter top half and even with a vest top can help to keep your warm, wearing one underneath, and then there is the gloves. I have lost many a pair, so always purchase each year, and put these on the radiator clothes rack if you don’t like a hat or with a snood.
The Boot. I love a pair of boots and again invest in a pair that is long lasting and have two sets of DM’s, 5 pairs of ankle boots and trainer ankle boot style to, which I am living in at the moment, as they are so snug I look forward to putting them on.
They can be of any style really, but make sure I have knee length, middle length and ankle length and they last me for a decade, and that is no exagerating.
If they don’t last, I don’t want them.
The jacket and wellies. With jackets I like a bomber style and a mack type jacket that is long, midi length and has good size pockets and snug inside. I tend to my jackets and coats from stores like Dorothy Perkins, Amazon or Very.
In for me is a lifetime investment, and be machine purposable so not needing to be given to a dry cleaners.
I need convenient fashion, aswell as stylish and I don’t at the moment own a pair of wellingtons, but gonna order myself a pair as they are a good long time product.
I also love leg warmers which I want again, and can still look good, and have a good selection of scarfs. I like tartan, and patterned and last again a long time.
So, lets get ourselves lovely and toasty and soon it will be Christmas, so more blogs to come.

Hello so it is the beginning of another week and it seems to be getting ever nearer to Christmas, yes “Am I ready for it?”, NO!
In this post I am showing some outfits I have put together show What I have in my Wardrobe, and I am gonna keep doing types of blogs, because I enjoy making them.
So, to start it this look which I wore yesterday celebrating a few birthdays, and the dress is from Shein, I had a shape undergarment which does work and help push the tummy in from TKMaxx, Leggins New look or Amazon, and boots from Amazon.
So to wear this I often will where leggins instead of tights, because they can often slip down and forever pulling them up, and with the Boots, it desgises that they are leggins and looks stylish and felt really good with this outfit, and kept me warm at the same time.
I love the dress as I always suit these styles, and a piece I can wear dressed with a smart blazer, but I wore with it a black plain cardigan.
You do have to wear the right underwear to help make it look good, but will last me a long time and can wear all year round. I can dress it up, with Boots with a bigger heal or black sandels if I go to a party and wear it with some lovely suttle Jewellery.
So in this picture, I have a sleeveless shirt bought from George at Asda, and same leggins as in the first picture. Leggins are my everyday items and with a jacket or a blazer great for all seasons and in the winter I will usually add a vest top to keep me toastie but is smart at the same time. The boots again same as picture one. I wear them a lot in the winter, and keeps my feet comfortable and warm too.
dav
So, this is number 3, of what I have in my wardrobe, and it is patterned top under jacket, from H&M. I love H&M this year. They have excellent amount of nice tops, and I visit them each week and been obssessed with going in there, and looking at them. It makes me feel I have a wonderful find. The Blazer is from Debenhams, who still my favourite store and they appear to be still selling items online, but miss them dearly.
Same leggins that are in picture of look 1 and 2.
The boots you see, again I love to wear a lot, from Shein and will last me again for a lot of years to come.
The Trousers are from M&S which I bought two years ago and love them. I have to have a set of smart trousers, and for next years wardrobe I want a navy blue pair and a grey pair to go with these black bootcut trousers and love these. “A regular favourite”, and top which is similar to the orange colour one, and this one you see in look number 4, is from H&M. Bought this year and is see through so you need like a vest top, but can we worn throught out the year and again should last me a long time.
Longejivity is my thing, and I want clothes that will suit me for years to come and can be worn through out the year.
Shoes are from Wish. I got obssessed with this app on my phone and have items in my basket ready to do another purchase, but will be next year now, but still one to check out.
These shoes you see, I wore all through Spring and Summer.
So, that are my looks more to come and have a good week ahead.
I do fashion videos on my Youtube channel so if you would like to check out my channel then here is the link below:
Hello and ca’t believe it is Thursday already, this week has gone so fast. In this look book I am gonna give some shopping ideas and Fashion tips I follow for this time of the year.
If you want to buy clothes as gifts, it is important that you be tactful about asking what size they are as some people can be embarrased to say, but things like Scarfs can be a great gift as they are usually one size that fits all.
Then you have handbags, I have regularly bought these as gifts and always go down well. Look at the type of bag they have and go onto Pinterest as this is my go to, for ideas of the styles that match and then shop to find it, and remember, SET A BUDGET!
Shoes, always a winner as a gift, and just ask and see what they are wearing and you can just say “What’s your shoes size do you often wear those types of shoes” and they do then find ones that will suit them or buy them a gift card to choose some shoes to buy.
Jackets, can be a nice item to buy and ask them do they often wear a jacket and what style and if you meet them for lunch take a sneaky peek to see their size.
I will be posting more look books as we get nearer to Christmas.
Many thanks for reading,
Carrie X

When working up in London which was the 90’s to 2000’s, I would buy items that were great for the day and evening, and this was before I wore a lot of make up, and in fact I would go out with none, but still have compliements of my clothes when I would go out.
I never wanted to take a whole load of clothing, and so would put on some nice fancy earrings, have neat and tidy hair, to the point where many thought I’d been to the hairdressers all of the time, but no was blown dried by mother, and would often be smart.
So the first item is above and I love patterned tops as I am sure you are aware, following my previous look books, and the top above would be great to dress up, with a good pair of trousers, and a leather jacket.
That is on thing on my list of items I have been wanting to buy a leather jacket. Sinthetic leather though no real leather. The top above is from Shein, at £9.49.
I would add a pair of Boots, brown, patterned or black
I like this coloured boot as for me they are an alternative from black, and can be worn down with jeans and the top above, along with a nice matching handbag, and gold jewellery.
So, the store I miss is Debenhams priced at: £25.00, but it seems you can buy items online still, and came across this top. Perfect for all year, for the day and for the evening.
Silver Jewellery would be better than gold, and thinking set of Silver studs, and pair of leather trousers. I used to have a pair like this and was patterned also, but I prefer a skirt or a jacket and this top, from Debenhams would look stylish with a leather Jacket, and matching boots, or healed shoes.
Thes shoes are from Shein priced at: £18.00, and will be stylish in both cold and hot weathers, that you can dress up or dress down, with a pair of leggins or a pair of jeans.
So, I hope this has inspired you and all comments welcomed, and if you want to keep up to date with these blogs you can do so, by following me.

So today after I returned home from spending time with my son, I looked in on H&M as there is a lovely Ruffled shirt that I have been wanting to buy, but not sure because my wardrobe for this year, is complete, but I have just fallen in love with H&M out of the blue and its because they do some great items in their store.
Here it is and in £19.99 and I today was wearing a jumper I bought from them too, and I just love it, so tempted to pick it up and would compliment my wardrobe and I almost thought I missed out on it, but found it thankfully, and I just love the shape and the detail to it.
Here is one on Shein and priced at £8.49, and I do like the colour so is an alternative, and unlike the white one from H&M, it’s no see through. With both of the these blouses I picture a office type bacjkpack, Leather Jacket or Blazer, with a pair of jeans, leggins and nice trousers, adding a pair of boots, tanned or black.
This is the other alternative, is this one frpm Debenhams and is still my go to store and priced at £28.80 but I still prefer the H&M one as its I imagine it on me and can be styled in so many ways.
That’s how I would wear the Ruffled Blouses and shirts, and can be worn for summer too, with a vest top underneath especially in white because they can be see through and so for that it canb e layered up or down, and last for a long time.
This is also great to wear day time and evening time adding some lovely pieces of Jewellery.
These are from H&M priced at £9.99 and have lovely sellection of bling and I love buying them. Great to dress for the day and evening, and with the blouses some black or gold shoes would be lovely way to use it for versaltility.
These are nude and Gold and really lovely to make the blouses look expensive and look chic for that Office Party and again will last a long time. These are from Dorothy Perkins, another go to store for me, and these are priced at £25.20.
So, I hope this has inspired you and have a wonderful time putting those looks together too.
