New Daily Look Book/New site name/Changes

Hello and welcome! So you may have noticed that I have changed the name of this site, as this blog is going to be dedicated to fashion and each day I am going to post a Look Book as they have been received really well.

I am still going to use this site for my Shopping Ideas post, but about Fashion, but my Meal Ideas is going to be moved to a new Platform so I will let you know once this happens, and so here is my Look book for today.

So these clothes are shoes and looks you see me wearing are of my change of wardrobe as we are getting into the Spring season, and yes I do like to change it up.

The picture of me with one of my own #BeKind jumpers sold on Amazon, with a pair of a peachy and orange colour shorts from Primark purchased in Summer last year 2020 and above that I am wearing those shorts with a Navy Blue Blazer from Amazon and if you like a blazer then do check on Amazon as there is a massive selection, and the top underneath is like a Tunic Top, long sleeved and very comfortable is from TU Sainsbury’s and they have really impressed me this range as I chose some new goodies to add to my Spring and Summer Wardrobe and for good prices.

So lets start from left to right. The white Pendalum white Shirt. I have one like this already from Very and it is good to get some tops that are similar but that would be for those kind of tops and real bargain.

Then down from there I found a lovely pair of Flip flops which I wear a lot in the Spring and Summer months and these immediately court my eye, and I love these kind as they are flattering, and sheak going on the price again, and then some Pink Sandals from New Look and I got these for a Wedding two year ago and great for dressing up any outfits.

The Pink Dress and the top on the left of that is also TU Sainsbury’s and I am a lady of patterns and the top and dress instantly yes, #mystyle completley and the shoes from Amazon I think would be great to wear with the dress and the combination of the items I have selected.

Then there is an animal print shirt, which can be unbuttoned tied at the front, with a pair of shorts and the Gold tailored shoes are from Very and I love them I just need to get some heal grips as often shoes from Very can be a bit big.

You see I have a theme with the shirts but they are great for interviews I will be doing soon and for casual wear, they are so versitile and worn with a pair of jeans and shorts, and then there is a off the sleeve pink vertical pink and white stripes which was in larger sizes and that did include mine but many sizes were out of stock but really nice piece and yes I really like this look book, because they can be mixed together without changing my wardrobe and capsule wardrobe too much.

So let me know what you think about this look and see you in the next blog.

Many thanks for reading,

A Change in my Weekly Fashion Look book

Hello and welcome! So each week on this blog site I post a Fashion look book but I am going to do daily fashion vision look books and add them into my Weekly Fashion Look book, also I am going to be separating this blog out, as I am going to move some items from this blog to another platform. However as this happens I will keep you posted.

So to begin I have done a Daily Look book of outfits I wore this week and items I am going to be adding into my wardrobe as I am beginning to move into my Spring and Summer outfits and add staple items.

Here is the vision board:

So lets begin from the top left. I love a scarf and wear them Autumn, Winter and Spring until it gets to be warmer weather, but I love a scarf and this is one I have chosen to be new for 2021 and Grey is one of my favourite colours to wear, and this I found on Amazon.

Then down from there are a pair of flip flops I found, and these were from I either Dune or Guess, I love these two brands and love splashing out on items from these stores as they do some really lovely items, and when I go over the states again will be purchasing more.

Now along from there in the middle is some lounge/PJs but I do on lazy days go around with these still on, and the top is a vest top from a store I always buy vest tops from and that is Uniglo and the bottoms is part of a set, and are also from there too. There vest tops are top quality and when I worked in a corporate company would wear this with tailored clothes and felt very stylish with little effort.

The Denim Waistcoat is another versitile item I love to add, because you can wear them with just a good fitted bra underneath with a pair of black trousers or smart shorts, and then for the colder months with a polar neck of long sleeved vest. I am planning to wear such clothing for when I work on some shows that are coming up, and with Denim all types I always go to.

The outfit you see with my BeKind Black jumper from Amazon is one I wore today, because it is beginning to warm up now and so wanted to wear with the shorts from Primark and great for lounging and outdoors when the full summer weather comes along. Primark range of summer clothes is endless and will be doing an Spring and Summer Haul soon. I tend to shop there once or twice a year, and it will be soon on my doorstep so you never know it may be more frequent.

Then underneath that you see a jumper i wore from Amazon and I have one in white too, and really good items, as i wore like in the picture of me with the skirt from TU Sainsburys and then the same skirt with a top from TU Sainsburys, and I will be checking out Sainsbury’s TU range to see what there Spring and Summer clothes will be looking like to see if there are some other verstile clothes to be worn all through the year and I will be going through my clothes that have been moved from my old home, to have a clear out, and to see what else I may want to add.

In any case I love doing this as it really helps to see what we’ll go with what and get the most out of my wardrobe much more.

So have a wonderful week ahead, this is pre-written so did not go live on Sunday when it went out, but I will keep you posted of the changes of my blogs and if you would like to see more of my Fashion look book blogs and vision boards, check out my Pinterest site:

Many thanks for reading and see you soon,

Saturday Weekly Post/Planning my days During the school Holidays

Hello and thank you so much to those who have been reading my blog posts and watching my #Youtube videos it does mean the world to me when you give me such positive feedback.

So it is Saturday once again and this post is about Planning my days during the school holidays as it can be mean putting some work, like I do on hold but actually if you write blogs and create Youtube videos you can use within your content and then using the mornings and the evenings to do the other bits within your digital and online work.

Working parents struggle during COVID-19 pandemic - Marketplace

When it comes to looking after the kids during the holidays I would stick with your block schedule and so spare up the afternoon to spend time with them and then blocks of time to do blogs and videos, and set an alarm just like you would when your kids are back at school.

I would do tasks that can make good content as a lot of it is accidental, yet it can be a good video to share with fello parents of what they can do with their family aswell there work blocking time.

Today I got to see my son and I did a bit of work, but then spent time watching his favourite game show on TV holding hands and you can’t take away those moments and it is important for our kids and other family we love to give them your time.

The other thing I do is batch work, so I will batch some videos and blogs, planning my work so it is pre-written and already scheduled to be published online, so free up the space of making your content go life and then pick up from me once the kids are back.

Use the weekends, and now Lockdown is being removed you will be able to have kids be looked after by grandparents or childminders, so you can use that time to catch up on bits of work.

Never be afraid if someone gets there before you, in offering to take your kids out. Of course making sure you know and trust them and just make sure they call you through out the day or you call them, to make sure they are alright and in case of any emergencies that can crop up.

Can holidays with young children REALLY be stress-free? | Pagel France

When it comes to housework, have the kids do this too as part of their day and to earn rewards of things they would like to do during the school holidays, and use the rewards earned during school period to make their dreams come true when you have more time with them.

You can use this time to film your day as a parent to show other parents how you balance your days when the kids are off from school.

It is all about prioritizing and schedule your quiet times, so all kids if it the holidays and let them stay up a bit longer, still have a time of when all kids should be in bed, so you can rest and recuperate. Just make space for them and yes delegate, a parents structure is one where you can enjoy it without too much hassle.

Shopping Ideas Weekly Post/#BeSmart Online Campaign

Hello and welcome to a new Weekly Shopping idea Post. To begin this post I want to let you know that I will be moving this blogsite to another platform, so this week will be the last posts on this site, and yes time to move this blog from WordPress and will be launched via another platform, the following week.

Free Supermarket Cliparts, Download Free Clip Art, Free Clip Art on Clipart Library

So I have been asked to do a new Campaign and I founded it too, to do a #BeSmart Online Campaign, to help people to be wise with sharing content on the Internet and how to spot online scams.

You know they say that the worst impulse buys are when we go Grocery shopping because we relate supermarket as a must spend, we feel it is okay to splurge, but it adds up and when we go on holiday, as we are full of the Holiday brain and so loose sense of, what we buy too.

So #BeSmart Online is campaigning against those who share too much, troll and common scams. With the internet, it is so easy to get caught up in the sales battle and yes I share them too, but there are things you still need to be aware of.

An example of this is a show I just started watching on Youtube and a guy has a suitcase of sunglasses. Now, why would someone have a load and I mean a load of kids sunglasses without having an alterior motive? He has bought them from Ebay to resell, and its obvious, and that is a scam there.

Reselling items on Ebay is actually under Consumer rights Law, illegal, and when representing a manufacturer at a call centre, there were customers who bought electrical items made by them, only to find it was a refurbished product that a sole buyer had, to find that it has no warranty or valid guarantee, so could not get his money back or exchange it, as it was sold to the customer broken.

Even the manufacturer was being scammed too, by people making out their appliances had stopped working to then be given a replacement without seeing the receipt or batch code and then were selling the replacement on EBay, and no the broken one wasn’t even needing to be sent in to be tested first.

Keep your witts about you and even sales in Supermarkets do your maths before purchasing items, even online and make sure before you give your card details over that you see the Lock sign in the search bar, to see that it is a secure purchase without someone taking your details to commit fraud and using them to buy items for themselves.

When booking a holiday, go with the well known travel agents, but check with their cancelling procedure just in case and then check on Bookings.com as you may be able to get your holiday cheaper by you being the Travel Agent. I would do this a lot, and compare it, as Travel agents will often add a lot of Commission for them on top.

Never go near anyone selling scratchcards abroad, and don’t be tempted by Timeshare offers as this is a very big scam abroad and just want to take advantage of you, being holiday makers.

The other thing is don’t by electrical good abroad as they work on a different power source and a have their own code of CD’s and DVDs for that country so not guaranteed to work back here in the UK.

Plus many company’s who sell wifi products and smart devices including mobile phones are often refurbished and they just fix them or if a customer has bought the item and still in it packaging, they often won’t check it, and put in to be sold again.

So just be vigilent and if it is too good to be true it normally is.

Fashion Look Book/Planning a New Look for 2021

Hello and welcome! So this blog is a bit late this week but that is because I have been putting a lot of content together, and I have created a new Vision board on Pinterest of Fashion and want a new look, and I am also going to create another Fashion folder, and would encourage if you like fashion to do the same.

Now on Amazon there are some lovely items that have caught my eye, and on Shein, and so first of all it’s shirts, as I do like to have shirts or blouses, even in my wardrobe because they are versitile items and can be worn all year round and can be dressed up or down.

So this is a Shirt on shien and is £12.49, and I like it because you can wear it with Leggins or jeans as in the picture but when they are long like this, you can also leave it buttoned open, add a vest top underneath and tie it at the front. Great look for when it starts to get warmer and then winter have a long sleeved polar neck underneath.

I like this one too on Shein at £6.99 and is running out of stock so, popular and it has a lovely lace front which I always love and a really nice compliment to a wardrobe and again can be dressed up or down.

You can then pair these up with some really lovely footwear on Amazon.

Fashion Heel Wedge Trainers for Women - Ladies Comfortable Bling Platform Walking Shoes, Best Chioce for Casual and Daily Wear

I love these platform trainers and they instantly caught my eye, and can wear with a pair of Jeggins or denim shirts in the summer and had to add them to my new items I wish to purchase and will be great to do gigs in and wear everyday too.

Now these are gorgeous very different, and are available on Amazon and many of the ones they had were selling out, but these would be great for when we have summer nights again and days. I can see me on a beach wearing these or when I go to America for a holiday, which, yes I am, and cannot wait.

I think I may be going to Dubai and Barbados too. Very much looking forward to it.

The other item that caught my eye on #amazon was this top. They are perfect for the Spring, but with a cardy you can still wear it in the colder months, and it just add a plash of blossom and ready for a new season.

With that I have found a new Rucksack type bag which would go with the top above and it is this one on #amazon I found

So more to come, as I want do more of What I like to wear post again, with sharing more items I want to add to my New look for this year.

Late Late Saturday Morning Post/Things I have done today

Hello and once again I am late with this post, but as always I am going to post it anyway and share what I have been doing today.

Well at the moment I am uploading my Weekend chat video, which I share details of What is coming up. I have updated my network site: https://carriesblognetwork.squarespace.com

I have been watching some Youtube and just to let you know I have created more New Boards and Sections to my existing boards on Pinterest, so do check them out:

I am so desperate to get my hair dyed as I am going for a new look, ready to begin my new busy schedule that is on the horizon, which I talk a little about in my Weekend Chat Vid. I have thought of some new projects I want to work on, and that is to set up a Book club for kids.

This is because I do think that reading is important in a child’s learning, and want to encourage that, because I am a writer of many books that I want to share this passion more, and with the new generation of writers that may be growing.

I film and published a new Life coaching video about: Stop Apologising, letting people guilt trip you and Parent Shaming

I see so much of that on social media and other sources and I am like, Why? You are you to judge?

I have also written a new Parenting blog post about, Teaching kids how to write a book, as it was World Book Day in the week. It is also National Womens month so yesterday Brain stormed some ideas and will be writing on my site: everyone can build a castle in my weekly Inspiring stories posts, this month about some amazing Women, and am going to do another Best Buys video, for February just gone (2021) and now going to watch a bit more Youtube and chill.

So I hope you had a good Saturday and remember on Sundays no blogposts go out live and be back live on Monday.

Many thanks for reading,

Meal Ideas/Snacks and Dinners I love to have some days

Hello and welcome! here is my Meal ideas weekly post, and I share some dinners I love to have, aswell as snacks.

I had a no spend week and managed to stretch it to, two weeks and it has been great and using up food that was already there available. I will when I move which is soon, do the same for some weeks. I know I won’t need to, but I am not someone who likes to spend a lot on items even having a good bank balance. My shopping choices like food do change depending on the season, and will spend more on items at certain times of the year to bulk buy and this saves me money no end.

Yes, being sponsored for writing posts such as these does help too, but if I can still save I will. I am all about investing not spending all of the time.

Check out this weeks video below:

I am someone who likes to keep it simple with meals. I have used readymade meals in the VT but that is because I am sharing the kitchen with other adults, and when I am in my new home, which is soon with my new Love, I will be making many of these meals from scratch or from a jar, and show you how you can make your own readymade meals.

Now, because I have saved two weeks worth of shopping I can now add to my budget if I wish too. I am a Curry and chips kind of girl and I am desperate for a Fry up at some point too and I do make a breakfast wrap which I will be showing soon and soon it will be salads again. I want to create a salad I had in America when I first went over their and it was a Red Leicester and Mature Cheddar cheese salad and it was lovely.

I have also created a new board on my Pinterest of meal Ideas via youtube videos made by other content creaters which I am sure will give you ideas on meals too. So click below for details:

Youtube is brilliant platform for finding new meals inspiration. I haven’t ventured over to TIK TOK yet, I am a bit behind, yet I just got recommendation as I write this blog about TIK TOK so I will at some point take a look. It was the yes, the Katie Price. Thank you x

I have also created a board of meal ideas I have discovered on Pinterest too, and I am going to do a meal review series, which is an idea that has just come into my head and that is me. I am often all about the moment rather than thinking way ahead.

Do I meal plan? Yes but I am a mind changer and so I do as a guide but not to follow by the list, as I am often “What I feel like on the day”. So, please if you have any meal ideas you’d like me to try then do let me know. All comments can be entered below this blog and all recommendations are very much welcomed.

So have wonderful rest of the week and see you in the next blog, and more will be coming next week.

Shopping Ideas/Keep with a Shopping Budget

Hello and welcome to another Weekly Shopping Ideas blog post and this week, it is about Keep with a Shopping Budget.

So I had a no spend week this week again and I am really enjoying having these weeks where I save my pennies and it can be done with no fuss at all, and if you have kids then give them a budget and let then choose items they love to have in their shopping budget. I wrote a blog on my theparentingadventures site about Teaching kids about money and budgeting

I do have budgets for each thing I love like Groceries, Toiletries, Cleaning and fashion.

I am now separating my finances in Quarterly Budgets and it seems for me to be the new way for me. I do still have a weekly budget on food, but things like fashion I do separate through out the year as I will have a splurge on clothes and then stop.

When buying clothes I go for items that will last me several winters and can be worn still in the warmer months.

Check Shein out as I was newby to this store and have already a basket ready to order items for the summer and is one to check out. https://www.shein.co.uk/

I have more or less got items for this season and items that can still be worn in Spring and Summer, and preplanning your yearly purchases is another method I use for shopping for clothes and stationary, because there are certain times of the year where it is worth waiting on things like stationary as sales will begin as we get nearer to Autumn, as stationary stores will bring out sales as they return to a new year of school.

With stationary I find doing a one yearly shop can be worth it like Printer Paper, pens and pencils and bulk, so you are never be without these items if you work from home and also Ink Cartridges.

Specific summer clothes I do buy sometimes in the summer, but I also find shopping for these items in Autumn when they have a summer clearance to be a great way to pre-plan summer fashion and things like Tank tops, Vest tops and T-shirts are great items that will never go out of fashion, but if you buy out of season it can save you pennies when buying in season.

This is the same for sunglasses, summer hats and staple items like sleeveless shirts are great because they can still be worn in the colder months too, just invest in good cardigans and one item I love is Blazers and Denim Jackets.

The other thing is stick with a coffee shop budget as these can mount up and I have no bought a coffee shop coffee for ages and you will be surprised how a difference it can make to your pennies.

So see where you can save and remain in budget of.

Fashion Look Book/High street and Online

Hello, sorry this is a bit late but been working on other projects and also been working on videos, and if you would like check out my recent Youtube videos then please click on his link here:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

So in this lookbook I am sharing some other outfits I love to wear, and I do love to shop in high street, but I am going to do at some point, designer stores I have wanted to shop in and do a haul at some point.

I am a high street girl and a regular online shopper. The high street it is Primark, Marks and Spencers, New look and TK Maxx, and then there was Debenhams, Wallis and Dorothy Perkins.

I do go for comfortability but also style and longevity. I like to buy clothes that is more or less going to last me a lifetime.

So this first outfit is what I have part of today, as I write this post and it is a Be Kind Grey jumper which I have a black one of, and wear this for bed sometimes aswell as a day item, and I love these jumpers and teamed it up with my everyday item, leggins.

These jumpers do wash well, shrunk a bit but not too much and lovely to wear. These were from Amazon and they do have a wide selection of jumpers aswell as TU at Sainsbury’s as I have a black jumper from their that I loved to wear too.

I find that these are even good when on holiday and you can tie around you waste for when it can get chilly in the evenings.

Then I wore a jumper dress which was from Amazon and very comfy, but I did have to wear it with a vest top underneath as it does show off your cleavage and this is with a pair of leggins or you can wear it with tights, which I did aswell. Not a summer item but I don’t mind as I can still wear this for future winters and is an item that I can keep foreveer and will never go out of fashion.

In the picture of me (a selfie) I have it on with a hair band which was also from Amazon and they do a lot of hairbands and I love them. Hairbands can be a really good piece to add and again they will always be in fashion.

Then there is this outfit I wore. The Jeans you see, I bought last year and was the first time wearing them and again have these on today. I do like to have a pair of jeans in my wardrobe and these black ones fit perfectly and bizzarely being petite, don’t need to take them up, like I have had to do in the passed and they fit really nicely and can be dressed up or down, but a really comfortable pair of jeans, for less that £20.

They were from Primark, and I teamed these with a top from Primark, which is another favourite and was only about £8, and I do like Primark, but tend to shop there once or twice a year, but I love this top. It is a bit big for me now as I have lost weight but I can always tuck it in and I think I am going to go through my belts I have and use one, or buy one, to add.

For me I go for style, versitility and colours, and being able to mix and match.

Fashion should never be hardwork, but something you can have fun with and enjoy.

Saturday Morning Post/Good Documentary/Youtube videos

So yes it is pretty late for this post, but I am determined to still write it and today it has been interesting, but I have not allowed those who tried to ruin my day, let them, and had a good Saturday.

This week I have been watching some documentaries on Youtube and watch one about Kylie Minogue, and it was a film made after her year or so, with Breast Cancer and was her new tour after she had recovered, and is a really nice one to watch and shows how not allowing events or illnesses like that stop you, doing what you love.

Here the video of that documentary below:

Being an 80’s kid, I grew up with Kylie and even saw her in concert myself at the Wembley Arena and even had the episode when she played Charlene in Neighbours, marrying Jason Donovan’s charactor, Scott.

Even writing that it seems like a totally different life time. I love watching these types of doumentaries as I do find them uplifting and it just a change from watching the usual Youtube videos that I love to watch.

There are quite a lot, so just put in documentaries in the search bar and you will be surprised with what you will find.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie L.M X
