Fantastic Finds From Amazon

I love shopping on Amazon there are some really good pieces that I have bought recently that have been really versatile. Then there are items that not bought yet but is in my Wishlist. One item I have purchased being some swimming shorts. I wore them as shorts yesterday. Good thing I did because I got soaked from finding out how the showers works, being away for the weekend.

They fit very well, wash well and great for when I go swimming in the winter. I going to start going swimming again and dry quickly and thinking once I start to swim buying another pair and great for lounging in.

Bought this dress for my Step sisters Hen do and thinking of wearing at her wedding too. Can be worn with tights, boots or shoes, with a cardigan and can’t wait to wear it. I tried it on and fits really well and would be good for a wedding, for a Christmas party or just around the home. I am going to wear more dresses and in trying it on, good and breathable material.

This is in my Amazon wish list. I like it because it says it is good for the beach, but in observing this dress, it also suitable the Autumn and winter with tights, boots or with a pair of smart trainers. The one thing I like is that it has pockets and I love having a black dress in my wardrobe, I have one which I love but this is great also to dress up and like if I do buy then that will it for black dresses. I do have jumper dresses and so now it is tops and jumpers and even a skirt.

I love these tops always a winner. Perfect for all year around with pair of jeans, black trousers, tracksuit bottoms with a cardigan and jacket.

Great, for all year around.

The Denim Skirt. Always a winner. They are great to add to your collection staple items. Great for all weathers, with tights, boots, sandals and again trainers.

I love a denim skirt and going for black this year (2025 to 2026). Would like a pair of black denim Jeans. I also investing in shirts and go through leggins as some have holes, but actually thinking of lowering the amount of leggins I have. I call them “Grab and go pieces”.

The one thing I wanted to do is to stop wearing leggins and I love wearing jeans and tend to wear leggins or tracksuit bottoms as I like to exercise, but would like to be a bit more feminine and looking at getting proper bottoms for running and doing my own home workout.

Wedding Outfits That Are Versatile

This was inspired by being invited to a wedding that’s happening this year, wanted to share tips being married myself, of what to wear and because it is summer when many people getting married, wanted to share my tips on finding an outfit.

I was married in 2006 and so was the end of the summer and we didn’t have a dress code and so if they wanted to wear jeans then they could. It can be tricky to knowing, of what to wear. You can hire clothes depending on your budget, the type of wedding and how often are you going to wear it, once the wedding is over.

So it is what colour to wear and type of outfit. When my mum got married my dad she wore a suit and the same for when she married my step dad. When she married my dad I was yet to be conceived, but shopping with my mum for her second marriage I advised her to be careful when it comes to buying an outfit being the bride, from the high street, and perhaps go designer to lower the chance of someone else turns up in it and so remember when it comes to the bride they want to stand out, so you don’t out do the bride.

I hated what I wore for my mums wedding, to my step dad and it looked great in the picture but wearing it I looked hideous. I should have gone with my first choice, which was beige matching vest top which came with a cardigan and wore trousers.

I not able to find an outfit that is similar but checked M&S and found above a vest top and cardigan from Newlook. It is great outfit to wear all year round and still be an outfit that you can keep, once the wedding is over and re-wear for another wedding perhaps.

Check out what you already have and you may rediscover something and look in charity shops too. I have found some lovely clothes and you can get other bits, like Fascinators and hats.

Also it can be time of day. At my wedding my guests got changed from day clothes to evening clothes and would advise guests if is an all day celebration, to give them a clue of what to wear and where they can get changed.

Playsuits are good pieces as they are just one outfit.

This is one from M&S and checkout Shein too as they have many.

Then it is dresses. I have a dress from Amazon and check out Pinterest to find a style or a look you may like. I bought this one and wore it when going to the Rocky Horror Show.

I would say to go down a size but really light to wear with a little cardigan and can wear it in the winter with some tights and ankle boots. You can even wear high heal shoes with it and skin colour tights and a great purchase for my wardrobe.

I would avoid a white coloured dress unless that is the bride and grooms choice for guests to wear a specific colour. One of my friends talked about wearing black. It meant you disapproved of the wedding, but yet at a friends wedding one of her guests wore black and I didn’t have a problem with it, its their presence that was important to me and they enjoyed it as much me and my husband did.

So I hope this blog has helped and there will be more blogs coming soon and you can keep in touch with my blogs by subscribing.

Summer Versatile Fashion For a music concert or festival

It is the height of the Summer and been looking for some new pieces for my wardrobe but as always, the items are Versatile and I have a few items not worn yet, so I need to ensure I do and as I am off to a Concert I need to plan what to wear when I go.

Of course, it with good comfortable shoes:

This is from Newlook and good if you are going on a bitch holiday also and can worn with a thick cardigan and and tights for the colder seasons.

T-Shirts and some Denim bottoms. I have to have a pair of Denim Shorts, a must have and yesterday bought a pair of thick Comfortable and no not really for winter but I love Newlook shoes and my pair I had that now have holes in, but they have lasted for about 3 to 4 years and always comfortable.

With the shoes on Newlook, some aren’t always in the stores that are on their online shop, as in looking online I couldn’t not find the pair I had purchased and I had to go down a shoes size too. Normally I am a Size 4.5 or 5 but with shoes I purchased, they were a size 4 (37).

Tank tops and vest tops are good. On Amazon you can buy packs of vest tops and t-shirts and in looking, they do different colours. I bought a pack of cycling shorts last week to wear under dresses and shorts to prevent my thighs rubbing together and a good investment in my book.

Here is an example of the vest tops I am talking about on Amazon:

It is good to invest in wellies should the weather change, waterproof clothes and a brolly. Hiking boots can be good along with a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself in the sun and got stability, not full apart as soon as they get wet.

So I hope that this blog helps, gives you an idea, of what buy for a concert or festival and not waist your money.

Fashion Review on items bought from Amazon

There are some bits I bought from Amazon recently and wanted to do a review.

So first of all I am not sponsored and were bought by me, personally, but wanted to share should you want to buy these items.

This item I filmed so check out my vlog channel with the dress below so will be uploaded in Friday or next Wednesday: https://www.youtube.com/@typicallondongal. The as you see in the picture above is nice, but I would downsize. I can still wear it and like the colour. The price reasonable and is a bit see-through so would wear with a vest top underneath, a white one and can be good in winter as a layer.

This dress is lovely. It is light and need to wear with light sized bra and great for the garden and I am going to wear it next Saturday at my sons End of Season party, but again should have gone down a size (Medium) and can be worn with a nice white cardigan, a denim jacket and for the winter with a nice sparkly jacket for Christmas and tights.

I will be getting a lot of wear out of it.

Tried these on. They fit okay. A lot shorter than what I thought but lightweight and could still wear Winter time with tights or leggins and be good with a vest top or a jumper over the top and good for the beach too over a Swimming Costume. I will be wearing a lot and great for the sitting in the garden or going to the park and can wear with Boots, like hiking boots or DMs. I will be wearing with a pair of sandals, for now I just hope I haven’t jinxed the weather.

These items I discovered on Pinterest and if you would like to check out my Pinterest then please see below:

Loving The Fashion on Amazon

To say I am obsessed is an under statement. I already have three things in my basket that has caught my eye. I do wait though before buying as I like to also find good pieces for my wardrobe on the high street like TK Maxx, H&M, M&S check out last blog: What has caught my eye In M&S and Charity shops: Going for Second Hand Fashion

Dungarees:

One of my key pieces for the Summer but can still be great for the winter with some black woolly tights and can wear with ballet shoes for the feminine touch, trainers or pumps. Some may wear ankle boots with ankle socks.

In the summer a pair of flip flops or sandals.

Dresses:

I am embracing the dress this year and ones that I know I will get some use out of. I found this dress on Pinterest and love a long dress aswell as short and can be catered for all the seasons and such a long lasting piece.

Fitness Gear:

There is a whole range of fitness clothes and this two piece caught my eye. I do Parkrun on a Saturdays and like to be active and play sports with my son and great investment to wear all year and can use, the vest top, that I do a lot come winter, for layering and in the warmer or hot seasons, wear the top, with a good sports bra and help gear me up having some nice fitness clothes.

I am going to wear this when I do Race For Life. I am taking part on the 22nd June 2025 for Cancer Research: https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/carries-sponsorship-for-race-for-life

They do a whole range of shoes and found these delightful sandals, but not going to buy as want to check my local charity shops first and see some nice bits on Mountain Warehouse online site, who do a great range of clothes and footwear.

I like a good pair of flip flops, sandals and really like these. The only thing is probably not practical if it is raining or winter time, but good for wearing and would go lovely with the a dress, like above and with the dungarees and they do, a whole range. So even though they may not be a winter shoe, ones that can last and be easy to walk in.

I am going to now start to bring out my shorts to wear on days and go through what already got and love a good set of T-Shirts.

I wear them all year round and they do sets of t-shirts and vest tops. I tend to oversize having a large chest, but so easy to wear and be worn with some many things.

So I hope you like this blog and find them helpful when it comes to fashion and amazon can be a good place to look.

What has caught my eye In M&S

I love M&S and their tops are lovely and there are a few items that I have caught my eye. I do like to have a few new t-shirts because they are just so versatile and be worn in all seasons. I found a similar one in H&M and purchased, not seeing that M&S did a version, of this top too.

You can dress them up with a nice skirt, a denim skirt or a pair of nice smart trousers and like to wear a cardigan or one of my denim jackets.

Looking online spotted this dress. This is gorgeous and great to be worn with tights and bare legs and be worn with many types of footwear. A good set of ankle boots with mid high-ankle socks, trainers, sandals or flip flops and great over a swimming costume and could be worn with a polo neck underneath too to, so can be worn all year round. So very Versatile.

The one item I feel is good is there trousers but some items are not so visible of style and if they suit me. Many of the pictures online aren’t really giving out much of a showing of their clothing. I love their trousers as they do cater for different sizes and shapes, but find going into a store you get a better view of them.

I love their knit wear, their underwear and their shoes particular and their basics. There items do seem to last a long time and wash well. There is nothing worse when you’ve bought an item you want, that appears to be good quality, so will last for a good number of years, only to find that with one wash following the instructions on the label, to have gone out of shape.

If you have seen some nice items at M&S in terms of versatile fashion, please share. There is a comment section below.

I hope you find these blogs useful and if you want to be kept up to date when I post then please subscribe.

Fashion Online Vs High Street

I do like to order clothes online and buy on the high street. What I like about online is that there are different items to what is in stores, but it depends where you shop as one thing I have been reminded is that not everything is good quality and when in store you can try before you buy.

Photo by Dom J on Pexels.com

I tend to shop in TKMaxx, H&M, M&S, George at ASDA and TU Sainsbury’s and Oliver Bonas. Or occasionally in B&M. I bought a pair for a shoes from B&M and I love them and been a great purchase. They have not rubbed and perfect for everyday and easy to put on.

I have never bought anything online from TKMaxx I prefer to go in the stores and my favourite ones are in Epsom and Wimbledon. Debenhams are online now and not on the high street and it was a shame. I bought many clothes from them and lasted a long time.

With M&S I love to see what they’ve got. I am done with jumpers now and so it is dressing for the summer with what I have got and may add a few items but not a lot. I will be going through my shorts and have plenty of tops and want to wear more dresses this year and for winter win it comes around again too. Some of these have been purchased online, but from the high street aswell. It is all about sustainability and upcycle clothes too so don’t need to purchase online or the high street, and of course there are charity shops.

I think stores like Primark will be on the high street still and we may, not sure if it is true, but may be a Primark in Epsom. It would be good as I like to buy my tights from there and I have a pair of shorts that have lasted several summers and will wear this year too.

New Finds in George ASDA

Today I checked out the fashion in George at ASDA yesterday morning and found some really good pieces.

I am trying my best to not buy anymore jumpers but they caught my eye and feel I need to perhaps buy one if I complete another 5K doing my weekly Parkrun. It also depends on the weather.

This is to me orange but a good piece if you like colour. This was £14 and great for all year. I love the colour and great to wear with trousers and a long skirt and like the picture, Denim.

I just looking on the website and not in store, seen this jacket. This would be such a nice piece for all seasons. It can be layered with a polar neck, with nice smart trousers, jeans for the more casual vibe and last a long time. These type of items never go out of fashion and good capsule wardrobe item.

This is on the website £34.

Then there is a jacket. I bought one as a substitute, to keep in Epsom, for when my pink jacket I have had for a long time, needs washing.

I do a lot of walking and tend to go out in the morning and so great for when it is chilly in the morning and living England it can be hit and miss with the weather and still be cold so great piece. Yes it is white but they can still be a great coats and wouldn’t wear it when I do parkrun, but going into town when it is cold and when it is raining still, keeping you toasty and warm and price on the ASDA’s website is: £25.

Check out this top. I recently bought a pair of chocolate brown trousers from M&S and this caught my eye. These tops are superb to wear all year round, by using it is a layer, and summer. I have one now underneath my jumper and have different coloured ones. If I find this top in ASDAs I will buy it. It is £7.

The prices and items can differ in the stores but can be ordered online. They have a good range of items and affordable. I go for staples and loving a wardrobe that I can mix and match. This top will be great with a pair of shorts like white, denim, chocolate brown, or even red and beige trousers or skirt and last a life time.

It is good to have a fun wardrobe and one that makes me look forward in getting ready for each day and that can go with many things and many different weathers and climates.

I hope you find these blogs helpful and if you’d like to be notified when I post a blog on this site then you can do so, by subscribing.

I show items I have bought on my vlog channel and so please check it out: https://www.youtube.com/@typicallondongal

Is Second Hand Outfits worth the money?

I love buying second hand. Charity shops have really grown and I have a pink jumper that I showed in a vlog: https://youtu.be/tELIFB4HE90 that is secondhand and I love it.

Photo by cottonbro studio on Pexels.com

Firstly have a list in mind and do a wish list like you would for Amazon or wherever you buy your clothes from. You can find designer if that is your thing and for me they are like my boutique and love the nick knacks you can find.

I have even bought jackets and dresses from them and thermal tights and leggins. They do have hats and scarfs. They can still have items that are pricy, but if it is going to last you a long time then I am all for paying that extra and still be a good price compared to if you found it on a high end store.

There has been items that I have gone to buy and they have gone, so if you do see a piece it is worth getting it when you see it. Then there are sites like Vinted. Not purchased from that platform, but is very popular and a great way to buy second hand and sell items in your wardrobe. I bought items from eBay but not always been a success.

I have found brand new shoes, bought home decor even. If you don’t shop secondhand you be surprised what you find and quality of the items too. I was offish about it, but now I each month or when I am after a certain item, in the terms of fashion will have a look, to see if I can get it second hand.

Please if you like to share about what you think of Secondhand fashion or places to go then please leave a comment below. Please subscribe if you want to read more blogs on this site. You will be notified when I post a blog and is free to do so.

Things I am liking about my style in 2025 and having fun with fashion

I have been looking over what I have and I love patterned socks matching my top with a pair of jeans or leggins. I do still want to wear more dresses, but I like trainers and I like having a pair of boots that are stylish.

Here I am with a jumper I got second hand, my black boots from M&S. They were a Christmas present. Bottoms are from Amazon.

I have put together some collages on Pinterest of the styles I have been checking out and love the busy girl look with casual but also stylish look. Great for meeting up with friends no matter the weather and be a woman who lunches.

This is my kind of style. I love pair of knee high boots and need a new pair and looking at light brown colour. I love wearing my denim jackets, and seen a pair of jeans from ASDA and jeans can be a good essential item.

I may even buy, as planned secondhand.

Then it will be it on clothes once I have bought them and will by more brown boots when we are in the Autumn and perhaps ask for them for my birthday.

The ones I want I have put in my wish list on amazon but again will check out charity shops to see if they have a pair or may even check out Clarks.

So more to come on this site when it comes to fashion. If you’d like to be notified when I post then please subscribe.
